| Adelaide Cup penalty for Zavite |

Brave stayer Zavite has been given a 1kg penalty for the $400,000 Adelaide Cup.
The Launceston Cup winner will now be asked carry 57.5kg as trainer Anthony Cummings sizes up at start in the $400,000 race.
“The Adelaide Cup looks a nice race for him,” Cummings said.
“It will be his first run at 3200m and I'm quite keen to see him run at the trip. I think when he gets the opportunity at the trip he'll take another step.”
A weary Zavite arrived back in our Melbourne stables less than 12 hours after his gritty Launceston Cup victory.
“He came home overnight and he's in familiar surroundings but he was feeling a bit tired,” Cummings said.
“But he usually picks up well and he’ll soon be bouncing around again and ready for the next instalment.”
Zavite is the $7.50 third favourite for the Adelaide Cup.
