Fastnet Rock filly Lovemelikearock will be given another chance to qualify for a Golden Slipper start.
Lovemelikearock went within a half neck of making the field for the world’s richest two-year- old race at Randwick on Saturday.
“I thought her run was easily the best in the race,” trainer Anthony Cummings after Lovemelikearock was just beaten in the $125,000 Sweet Embrace Stakes (1200m).
“She was wide all the way but still found the line so we’ll give her another start to try to earn a place in the Slipper.”
Cummings said Lovemelikearock would line up in the Magic Night Quality (1200m) at Rosehill on March 28.
Lovemelikearock almost pulled off a well-executed long-priced betting coup at Randwick. She was specked from $71 into $26.
