The stable’s winning run with the progeny of super sire Zabeel has continued at Newcastle.
Rhodonite, despite racing out of his grade, scored a half-length win in a Class 2 race over 1400m when ridden by Craig Agnew
The rising six-year-old was having only his fifth career start after making a belated debut in December.
He joins Zavite and Wittgenstein as sons of Zabeel who have been recent winners for the stable.
Rhodonite, raced by Gerry Harvey, is out of the Rubiton mare Rubicall, a winner of the Sweet Embrace Stakes and Light Fingers Stakes during a successful career on the track.
