| Solo Flyer plans left up in the air |

Solo Flyer is an acceptor for the Ajax Stakes but is not a certain runner as trainer Anthony Cummings tries to settle a Doncaster Mile dilemma.
Cummings has been left with a campaign juggling with Solo Flyer because the four-year-old didn’t earn a weight penalty for winning the Group Three Newmarket at Newcastle.
The Newcastle win left Solo Flyer precariously placed on 51kg for the rich mile and in danger of missing a start.
“He would have been safely in the Doncaster field if he was given a half kilo penalty,” Cummings said.
Cummings’s preferred racing plan for Solo Flyer was to head towards the Ryder Stakes – a traditional weight-for-age lead-up to the Doncaster.
He admits the handicapper has forced his hand a week earlier than he wanted to.
Adding to Cummings’s predicament is Solo Flyer’s barrier in the Ajax.
“He’s drawn 10 and that will come into consideration before I commit him to running,” Cummings said.
“That said, it’s still very much a winnable race for the horse. It’s just the timing that has me concerned.”
