A photo finish denied our stable a stakes-winning double at Rosehill after Prima Nova was beaten by the barest possible margin.
Prima Nova, returning to Sydney after a Melbourne campaign, was beaten a half head in the Listed Epona Stakes.
The mare loomed up strongly for jockey Corey Brown before peaking ever so slightly on her run.
“In the back of my mind the 1900 (metres) was a concern but she put herself there and, as always, you couldn’t fault her commitment,” Anthony Cummings said.
