Miss Darcey goes to top of Oaks charts
Miss Darcey raced her way into the AJC Australian Oaks field – and favouritism for the Group I classic - with a devastating win at Randwick.

The filly trounced her rivals in the Group III Adrian Knox Stakes, giving connections no alternative but to pay an $18,000 Oaks late entry fee.

“How could you not pay it after witnessing that,” trainer Anthony Cummings said.

After sitting behind the speed, Miss Darcey was presented with a run when the field straightened and the filly sprinted away to win by almost four lengths.

“The turn of foot was unreal,” jockey Corey Brown said. “On that effort I’d say she’d win the Oaks.”

Oaks bookmakers agree, with Miss Darcey promoted to $4.60 favouritism for Saturday’s race.

Our stable filled two of the three Adrian Knox placings with Nothin’ Leica Cat finishing strongly down the middle of the track to finish third.
