| Prima Nova stars at Randwick |

Trainer Anthony Cummings is planning another interstate trip for Prima Nova after the mare’s win in the Japan Racing Association Plate (2000m) at Randwick.
But there could be another Sydney run left in the four-year-old after her impressive run of Sydney carnival form.
“I’ll probably back her up in the Emancipation Stakes next week before looking at Brisbane,” Cummings said.
“There are some nice stakes races during the winter carnival.”
Sent out a $9 chance, Prima Nova burst between runners in the straight to snatch a long neck victory which impressed jockey Glen Boss.
“She was always going to win from the half-mile when she started to track into the race,” Boss said.
“I know the margin wasn’t great but it was a soft win in the end. I only gave her a couple of slaps.”
