| Nothin' Leica Cat in impressive Oaks trial |
 |

 |
Tale Of The Cat filly Nothin’ Leica Cat opened her career account and continued her preparation towards the Queensland Oaks by beating older horses at the Gold Coast.
Starting odds-on despite being a maiden three-year-old filly taking on open grade horses, Nothin’ Leica Cat underlined her potential with a 3-1/2 length win over 2200m.
The runaway victory was Nothin Leica Cat’s first in seven starts but she had already been stakes placed in the Adrian Knox Stakes before running a creditable fourth placing in the AJC Australian Oaks.
Her first Queensland run resulted in an eye-catching fifth in the Gold Coast Bracelot when ridden by Damien Oliver.
Oliver has been booked for the Queensland Oaks ride on May 30.
