| Ganderton gets Choisie home at Warwick Farm |

An outstanding Daniel Ganderton ride has helped Choisie record her fourth career win in the Randwick Betting Auditorium Rating 71 Handicap (1400m) at Warwick Farm.
Choisie’s trainer Anthony Cummings dropped the five-year-old back in grade, the mover coupled with Ganderton’s ride paving the way for the daughter of Choisir’s win.
From her inside draw, Ganderton always had Choisie travelling smartly just behind the speed before defying the pattern of the day’s racing to drive the mare up on the inside of the leaders to hit the front at the 300 metres.
Sticking to the inside fence, Choisie drew away from her rivals to record a comfortable 1-3/4 length win to give the Anthony Cummings stable its fifth city win for the season and its fourth in the past week.
“I was able to take full advantage of her inside draw,” Ganderton said. “We were able to get a nice, sucky run and get up on the inside on the home turn.
“She was able to handle the shifty track better than all the others and we were able to make the most of her inside run.”
Stable foreman Edward Cummings said Choisie was finally able to have some good fortune in running after a couple of unlucky runs at the mare’s past two starts.
“She’s had plenty of bad luck in her past couple of starts,” he said. “She’s drawn badly then she lost a shoe at Rosehill. It’s very pleasing to see her get a win she deserves.”
