A straight track gallop at Flemington on Monday morning will determine whether or not lightly raced eight-year-old Five Car Stud returns from a spell in Saturday's Group 1 Lightning Stakes.
Five Car Stud hasn't raced since finishing second to Salinger Stakes winner Eagle Falls at Flemington in August last year.
"I've got him in the Lightning but if he doesn't run in that he'll go to the open 1200m handicap instead," said Anthony Cummings.
The stable will still be represented by at least two runners in the Lightning with Sister Madly and Seeking Attention both resuming in the weight-for-age sprint.
Sister Madly will be ridden by Craig Williams with Tim Clark heading to Melbourne to partner Seeking Attention.
Cummings's Magic Millions Trophy runner-up Tallow will contest The Vanity for three-year-old fillies on Saturday with Corey Brown taking the ride.
"She's done well since she raced at the Gold Coast and will be very competitive in The Vanity," Cummings predicted.
