Group 1 winner Turffontein is on target to return to racing in the William Reid Stakes in Melbourne after trialling in good style at Randwick last Friday.
Turffontein was joined in its heat by stablemate Prima Nova with trainer Anthony Cummings reporting he was pleased with the efforts of both classy gallopers.
"Turffontein has come back in very good order and we'll look at kicking him off in the Group 1 race at Moonee Valley in a couple of weeks," said Cummings.
"Prima Nova can stay in Sydney and the Expressway on Saturday could be her first-up run."
Cummings had been aiming to start his George Main Stakes winner Road To Rock in the Expressway, however, he said he would now give the horse another trial before it resumes from a spell.
Among Cummings's other trial runners at Randwick were Arcora and Canary Islands, which won their respective heats, as well as Merger Benefits and Lentini, also winning their hitouts.
"I also had Messenger go around and she trialled very well too," said Cummings.
"And the same can be said for Recoup De Fortune, which won his heat impressively and is ready to start again in a week or so.
"The whole team that trialled pleased me so the coming weeks and months are looking very good."
