Equine Careers after Racing

At Cummings Racing we strive to give every horse its chance to excel. For most horses that come through our stable, a racing career will last anywhere between 2 and 10 years. The Stallions and Broodmares that have gone on to stud duties are what keep the industry cycling, but the geldings whose careers come to an end need to find a new purpose and we take great pride in rehoming our horses so that they can continue to enjoy their life and maintain a competitive interest. We have had countles horses go on to become dressage champions, police horses, clerks of the course and more. Here are some of their achievements.

Fontelina was a 2-time second place getter in Group 1 Races, the Sir Rupert Clarke Stakes at Caulfield as well as the William Reid Stakes. He won a Luskin Star Stakes at Scone and a Phoenix Stakes at Doomben as a two year old. He has now retired and is doing well on the equestrian circuit.
